Lake Titicaca situated on the shores of Puno, the highest navigable lake in the world. Home to the legendary Uros people, who live on the floating reed islands and the famous weavers of Taquile Island. Travel to Puno is most popular by the good quality tourist bus services and and also flights from Arequipa, Lima and Cusco to Juliaca airport located 45 mins north of Puno.
- Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Puno

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Puno
Upon your arrival at Juliaca´s Airport, our staff will transfer you to the city of Puno, to accommodate you at the hotel you have previously booked. Then, you´ll enjoy a free afternoon, to get acclimatized or, if you wish, to go on a stroll around the lake-side city of Puno. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 2: Uros – Taquile Tour and transfer to the bus station.
At the indicated time, our staff will pick you up at your hotel, to transfer you to Puno´s port, on Lake Titicaca, where you´ll board a motorized boat that will take you to visit the Uros´ Floating Islands, on a 45-minute ride. These artificial islands are built with numerous layers of intertwined totora reed, and are tied to the lake´s bottom.
On the way, our guide will give you information on Lake Titicaca and the Uros´ legends, as well as on their tradition, customs and folklore. Then, our boat will take you to visit Taquile Island, with its great landscape, ethnic, cultural and archaeological value.
Around noon, you´ll enjoy a delicious lunch, after which our boat will take you back, from Taquile´s port, sailing off at 2:30 p.m., and arriving at the city of Puno around 5:30 p.m., to directly transfer to your hotel, for dinner (not included) and a good night´s sleep.
Day 3: Sillustani Tour and Transfer to the Airport.
After breakfast, at your hotel, we´ll transfer you, to visit Sillustani´s Chullpas which are a set of pre-Incan and Incan funerary towers that are up to 12 meters tall. Then, our transfer vehicle will take you to Juliaca´s Airport, for you to catch a flight to your next destination.
