Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arequipa and City Tour
Arrival in the city of Arequipa, and transfer to your hotel.
Between 2:00 and 2:30 p.m., we´ll pick you up at your hotel, to board a double-deck bus, rigged up to enjoy landscapes, with a 360° panoramic view. Then, we´ll ride across historical areas, and will have plenty of opportunities to contemplate the beautiful landscapes around the city.
On our way, we´ll visit the Main Square, the El Carmen Alto Vantage Point from which we´ll sight the Chilina Valley, and will enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of the three volcanoes that surround the city. Then, we´ll head towards the Yanahuara Vantage Point, and will visit its square.
Then, we´ll visit one of the best known alpaca wool textile weaving manufactures, in the city, where the staff will explain the textiles´ production processes to us. Later on, as we get to the District of Sachaca, we´ll have a look at the Tingo Summer Resort, to directly go to the Founder´s Mansion, where we´ll visit a museum that withholds Arequipa´s ancient cultural wealth.
Afterwards, we´ll head over to the Sabandia Mill, where we´ll have a better idea of how water was taken advantage of, in the past, to grind grains from crops, in that area. Finally, we´ll appreciate beautiful views of Paucarpata´s benched terraces. Arrival at Arequipa´s Main Square, between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m., and transfer to your hotel, to have dinner (not included) and rest.
Day 2: Excursion to the Colca Valley and Overnight in Chivay.
After breakfast at your hotel, we´ll pick you up between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., to go to the Colca Canyon, on the road that goes by Yura, bordering the Chachani Volcano, to then pass by Pampa Cañahuas, where the SALINAS AND AGUADA BLANCA NATIONAL RESERVE is located. There, we´ll stop for 10 to 15 minutes, to observe vicuñas, alpacas and lamas, in their natural habitat.
Afterwards, we´ll stop, for the second time, to enjoy a coca leaf tea, so that altitude might not affect you, as we´ll be at 3,800 m.a.s.l. Then, we´ll travel on, uphill, up to 4,800 m.a.s.l., to the Volcanoes´ Vantage Point and, after having contemplated the spectacular view, we´ll start descending to the village of Chivay.
Around 1:00 p.m., we´ll get to the village of Chivay, and will head to the BUFFET RESTAURANT, to have lunch (not included), so that you might taste the variety of regional and local dishes it offers. Then, after that delicious lunch, we´ll transfer you to your respective hotels.
In the afternoon, our guide will pick you up, to take you to the CHACAPI THERMAL BATHS, where you´ll have a chance to enjoy thermal pools, with water temperatures oscillating between 35 and 38°C. At the indicated time, we´ll head back to your hotel.
In the evening, you´ll enjoy a typical dinner, accompanied by a show of folkloric dances (not included). Afterwards, we´ll transfer you to your hotel, in Chivay, to spend the night.
Day 3: Colca Canyon, Condors´ Flight and Return to Arequipa
Today, breakfast will be served around 5:30 a.m., to then travel to THE COLCA CANYON; one of the deepest in the world. There we´ll stop at THE CRUZ DEL CÓNDOR´S VANTAGE POINT, to observe CONDORS, in their majestic flight and, if we are lucky, we´ll have chances to take unique pictures of the Andes most imposing flying birds, as you´ll live one of the best experiences in your life.
On the way back, we´ll stop in the villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque that display beautiful colonial churches, and at the vantage points of Antahuilque and Choquetico, from which we´ll be able to observe pre-Incan tombs and scale models, as well as the Colca Valley´s splendid landscape and impressive crop benched terraces.
Around noon, we´ll get to the village of Chivay, where we´ll have lunch and, afterwards, we´ll return to the city of Arequipa, to transfer you to your hotel, where you´ll have dinner and a good night´s rest.
Day 4: Transfer to the Airport
After breakfast, at your hotel and, at the indicated time, our staff will pick you up, to take you to the airport, or bus terminal.

Recommendations
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- For the trip to the Colca Canyon, take a warm jacket or coat along, given that, on our way to the Colca Canyon, we´ll go by a 4,910 m.a.s.l. altitude, and during the day, wear light clothes. In the rainy season (December to March), we recommend you to wear thermic and impermeable clothes.
- Bottle of mineral water.
